Used to live in Blaine Mn myself - still have family up there. Must be something about those endless winters that make us love these tropical fish!!

Is he a Cambodian? I love his colouring, stunning fish.
And, just to be sure, you washed out that Gerbil cage really good right? Got to be careful with the whole once rodent now fish stuff.
I have a mouse and it gets kind of hard sometimes keeping their things apart. :)

I actually like cooler weather, but it's the color that draws me to Bettas. That and their awesome personality and finnage.

I'm not sure, he was just sold to me as a veiltail since I got him from a Petco. I'm looking at other pictures of Cambodian ones and it does sort of look like him, it's just that his body is so much lighter than his fins but he does have some bluish scales. So maybe!

And yes, I definitely took a lot of time to clean out the cage. He's in there with a couple of ghost shrimp and a corydora, and they're all doing just fine.

I love his pirate look! He's so unique that way :))) if I were to take a stab at his coloring I'd say he's a blue grizzle, but it's hard to tell w just pictures. Super cute!
