Turn up the temp a couple of degrees and leave it for a few hours. Then move a couple of degrees again and leave it. With the fish in the water, you want to increase the temp very slowly. Good luck! :)

or you could put your hand in for a while and play with him if your hands are real clean with no soap residue...

Run off a bottle of how water with treatment in it and watch the thermometer. If its a small tank don't use straight hot.
Clean the outside of the bottle with some table salt on wet hand then rinse.

I treated a person's tank for Ick just using the turning up the heater method only (no salt, no meds) and I turned up the heater by 2 Degrees every 10-12 Hours. This method worked perfectly and not a fish was stressed and/or lost.

Wow, I made no sense.

hand in and play, yes, nice warm and friendly.

Run off a bottle of hot water with treatment in it and watch the thermometer, if it is a small tank or bowl don't use straight hot water.

Or you can simply put a bottle of hot water in tanks in the 1-3 gallon range; clean off the outside of the bottle by rubbing it with a wet hand covered in table salt then fill it with warm and rinse the salt off.

(was probably drooling at sherbert)
