is the filter worth it?

so, when i got Remy(the little Gimpy fella), i picked up a Tetra 1.5 gallon tank, since i didn't have any spare tanks at the house. it, of course, comes with a small filter, the Tetra Whisper 3i. but, i've heard that it's no use in the tank, or any tank, since the tank's so small. but, i wanna know what YOU guys think. is the filter worth having in the tank, or should i just trash it, or what? i'd like Caroline, the tank's current inhabitant, to be as happy as can be, and she seems to really enjoy the tank despite it's smaller size, so i may keep her in it for a while, at least until i can get her something larger.

but, i've heard it's really hard to keep it in there. x-X and, i don't want Caroline getting stuck in it, or anything, while adventuring(which she still does. it's so cute).

If you had a fancy halfmoon then i would say take it out. But since females have much less smaller fins than males, they are stronger swimmers and should have no problems hurting themselves on a filter. I vote keep it as it will still help keep water quality in any size tank.

it's more along the lines of "longer fins may get stuck". Caroline's a female, though, and should be able to keep away from it. x-X

Dx i re-planted her tank using plastic plants. i've never used them with a betta before. i'm always scared she's gonna hurt herself on one of them. ;A; i freak out over every little thing with this girlie. xD she's my baby. <3 i'll give the filter a try, to see how she does with it. she's so nosy, though.
