Betta will eat blood worms and Hikari Daphnia

1 of my new females will only eat blood worms the hikari daphnia(which is like powder) but ill not eat anything else. She is my only survivor from the 2 I gat at petsmart and I don't want her to not eat and starve.

What should I try I have bother Hikari bio-gold and aqueon betta pellets and she will spit them both out after trying to eat them but she gos crazy when I give her blood worms

Offer the pellets twice a day and remove them if she doesn't eat. Stop feeding the other things...she'll eat when she is hungry enough. A few days of fasting won't hurt.

Just don't give in!!

You could also try soaking the pellets before offering them to her.

WOW - does she have YOU trained!!! LOL!!!

As Cravenne said - stop feeding those and offer ONLY the pellets. She'll eat them once she gets hungry enough. Once she is 100% established on the pellets (a couple weeks maybe?) you can give her the other foods once or twice a week as a treat.

You could try mixing pellets with the bloodworms and see if she'll eat them.

A healthy betta could techinically go a month without food and be fine. Don't worry if she refuses to eat for a few days or even weeks. My betta had not accepted pellets since I got him, so I fasted him a day or two, and now he's eating them just fine.

My boy was picky the first two weeks as well. Only touched bloodworms. Now? Well let's say he devours flakes, plankton, daphnia, brine shrimp and pellets. Even gave him a live spider I found in our room, he loved those.
