you could get a goldfish 2.5 gallon filtered kit. they dont have heaters but you could buy one. they are marina goldfish 2.5 gallon filtered tank and they cost about $25.

@bettamaniac wow, that tank seems pretty cool! i was looking for it online, and its only available in petsmart? but the closest pet store to me is petco :P

I have a bunch of these tanks. So far I really like them and they are $15 for the kit.

Walmart has the 10 galon kit for under $30 in store... which you could divide in the future and house more fish!!

Id get the one someone posted from Fish.com. I dont have one, but i've heard alot of good comments about it. but i wouldnt use the decorations, it looks like it could hurt a bettas fins :)

I am on tank #4 now and each one has its own level of care needed due to the size. The smaller the tank, the more labor intensive it can be. If the tank is not filtered that can add more frequent water changes. There is a lot to consider IMHO when it comes to setting up the tank.

you can buy them at a lot of petstores and petco might sell them. I got mine at a lfs and thats where I keep my female betta.
