2.5 gallon good?

Is a 2.5 gallon tank split into two with a betta divider compatible with a betta fish? will it be happy?

It is okay but it is recommended that each betta get at least 2.5 gallons. You could get a 5 gallon and split that. I used to have a 2.5, and I feel it is tiny even for one fish.
