How cold does it get in the winter area (assuming you do live in the wintry area)?

All singletails do best in ponds as they can range in size of 12 to 18 inches. If they have to be kept in the tank, I'd suggest 75g as bare minimum for at least 3 of them. If you insist keeping goldfish in tanks, then stick to the fancy varieties and upgrade your tank to at least 55g. A 55g will be able to support 3-4 adult fancy goldfish in the long run. The average size for fancies is 8-10 inches. That applies to orandas, ranchus, lionheads, ryukins, fantails and lionchus.
