YouTube Video (I know, I know...)

I was tooling around YouTube and decided to look at betta videos. I avoid the "fighting" ones because it makes me sad. This one isn't a fighting video, and I wasn't too bothered by it at first. It's a video of a betta in one of those little 1/2 gallon tanks with the "cute" background. Okay, fine, I kept my bettas in 1/2 gallons when I was living temporarily at my boyfriend's. But then I saw there was ANOTHER fish in there with the betta. And I kind of went "uhm wut". Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLnF7QFJvUM

On top of the, the person is shining a light into the tank to make the fish flare.

I know! And the one comment was like "They look nicer in a bigger aquarium than the small cups." As if that tank was any bigger than the cup they come in. Yikes.

Looked like some sort of neon. The video has been removed, though, so the thread is now pointless, haha.

I commented as well... and yeah, the tank is way small, but they were just starting out. They probably didn't know any better as far as tank size... Betta fish are advertised to be in tiny tanks anyway. ==

Yeah, it shows for me when I try to view it by the link I provided that it was removed. I kind of figured they were just starting out, I wasn't really bothered by it until I saw the second fish in there. That's what got me.

I saw the little tetra... thing... whatever he was (I couldn't see him that well) too. Somehow that tiny fish made the tank a lot smaller. X x
But I'd argue that a schooling fish like him might've been alright by himself anyway... except that there seemed to be a huge lack of hiding places. >>

I have two schooling fish that actually live alone. (Kinda.)

A GloFish, who is actually in a community tank of guppies, a rose minnow, and a giant (compared to them) Pearl Gourami. He did have some friends... uh... but they either got eaten or sucked up by the filter... somehow... I don't know. xP I just know I can't find a skeleton or a body of any of them. >>

My Ghost Catfish (or Ghostfish as I call it) is supposed to be with six or more of his kind... yeah, he's the only one. I've had him forever now. And even when he lived alone, he was definitely not shy. Acted like a very social betta fish, if I may dare compare. :D
Currently, he lives with a betta fish, too, might I add. >>

It's all in the fish's personality, though. That's what it comes down to, I believe.
