I saw the little tetra... thing... whatever he was (I couldn't see him that well) too. Somehow that tiny fish made the tank a lot smaller. X x
But I'd argue that a schooling fish like him might've been alright by himself anyway... except that there seemed to be a huge lack of hiding places. >>
I have two schooling fish that actually live alone. (Kinda.)
A GloFish, who is actually in a community tank of guppies, a rose minnow, and a giant (compared to them) Pearl Gourami. He did have some friends... uh... but they either got eaten or sucked up by the filter... somehow... I don't know. xP I just know I can't find a skeleton or a body of any of them. >>
My Ghost Catfish (or Ghostfish as I call it) is supposed to be with six or more of his kind... yeah, he's the only one. I've had him forever now. And even when he lived alone, he was definitely not shy. Acted like a very social betta fish, if I may dare compare. :D
Currently, he lives with a betta fish, too, might I add. >>
