What's the best food?

Hello! This is my second post. Thanks for the great advice. I feed my CT
male Top Fin freeze-dried bloodworms and Aqua Culture Betta Pellet food. The one ounce bottles will last forever! Is there something else I can give my betta besides these? What do you all recommend? Thanks.

I can't say what the best food is, but I can say what I've had success feeding my bettas. Hikari Betta Bio Gold. They've always loved it.
Bloodworms and brine shrimp are a good little treat for them too!

I use Attisons Betta Pellets, and Sayuri Betta pellets, along With Tetra Betta Flakes..(Both can be found at most decent LFS, However me being in the UK I have to resort to buying them from ebay)

I never ever feed my bettas Freeze Dried bloodworms, They can cause nasty constipation and bloat. (dosent seem to affect all Bettas just some.

When feeding freezedried/pellets/flakes try soak them a little bit in a bit of tank water before feeding this will decrease the risk of bloating.

Unfortunately they changed the first ingredient to something like Wheat Meal :(, so it isn't as good for them as other foods. I recommend a food where the first and second ingredients are seafood.

Thanks, Turtle! The first ingredient on the label on Aqua Culture Betta pellet food is fishmeal, second is shrimpmeal.

I feed mine Omega One pellets and New Life Spectrum, with frozen bloodworm and brine shrimp. Something to look for when choosing a pellet brand is the percentage of protein since bettas are carnivores. Both of these brands have more than 40%, so I'm very happy with them.

I've tried feeding my fish dried blood worms but they don't show any interest in them.

fleetfish, what sort of NLS do you use and where did you get it? I honestly haven't been able to find any.
