Hulloo Fine People

Hey there folks,

Yesterday I bought a betta.

His name is Eustace and he seems like quite a fine young chap. He is currently in a cramped 1/2 gallon, but will be in a 5 gallon by the end of next week. :D
I've been looking at the forum extensively since yesterday evening, so I now have some interesting ideas for my tank when it gets here. It is a "Marineland Eclipse Hex 5 Fully Integrated Aquarium Kit," which seems to be a good tank according to what other folks have said.
I have very limited money, as I am a college student. So, as soon as I get some more money (from my parents...) I am going to buy a nifty heater! I am anxious to get one, but I am not too worried because Eustace has been swimming happily in his less-than-warm tank. I am very glad that he is not sitting idly on the bottom, because I won't have any more money for a little while. D:

Anyway, hello everyone! This is a nice place you've got here.

P.S. - If you can't see the image, I don't know how to fix it. The link works (I just uploaded it), so I don't understand the problem.

Hey, and welcome to the forum. :)

If you need any help with your fish ever, just post on the forum, and if all else fails, PM OFL (or Oldfishlady.) She's super helpful and can solve any problem.

So glad you were able to rescue poor Eustace and are able to put him in a better home. Please post pics when you get the new tank!!! We love pics here! :D

Anyways, enough of that! Thanks for joining the forum! :)

I could be wrong but it seems that I can only edit my posts once, so here is Eustace. :)

Work it Eustace, work it!

Ah he's beautiful! I love the coloring in his tail.
(and I think you're right about the editing only once... I have a problem, every post I make I always find something that needs to be fixed, haha)

I believe there's a 20 minute limit on editing. Your betta is a cutie! Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! :)
Eustace really is a cutie! I'm so excited to build his new home when his 5 gallon hexagonal tank gets here next week. :D
I'm thinking I'd like to get him a ghost shrimp buddy to clean up the non-eaten food and plant mess (if I get a plant, which I very much want to do).
