Kritter keeper help?

I've had my betta in a 4gal kk for about a week, and i finally found him a heater. how would i put it in? I was thinking of cutting a piece out of the top, but im not too sure, and i know alot of you use KKs.

So, how would i go about doing this?

PETCO Pet Keeper for Aquarium Fish at PETCO

I just cut a piece out of the top on the side, using tin snips. I actually had my dad do it.

okay. i didnt want to thread the wires through the middle flap, i thought it would look to ugly. Also, i was thinking of putting an airstone in the tank- how does everyone get them to look good? Mine just sorta hangs there uselessly. The KK is completely bare- other than gravel and the fish.

Did you take it from the back, or the top part at the back?

I just put the cover over the wire and snapped it closed. Might not have been the best idea, but I really didn't want to cut anything.

I got the heater through! I had to take out about 7 of the plastic things, i resorted to a nail clipper and it worked very well. I filed down the edge, and i cant even tell it wasnt supposed to be there! Now, any advice on how to set up the airstone?
