This is my pretty girl. I'm pretty sure she's a VT, but not completely sure. The bubbles are from her filter.

She looks more like a plakat or delta. Her tail isn't round enough to be a VT.

Really? I wouldn't be surprised. I just spent the last half hour looking up pictures of different types of tail types in females, and AFTER I posted this picture, I started wondering whether she was actually a VT.

The store never told me what type she was - she was in a sorority with three other females.

Do I need to get her to flare to figure out her tail type? How can I tell the difference between a plakat and a delta?

I just examined Hestia closely. She has a larger "beard" under her gill cover (I think that's her extension for when she flares), and if my research is correct, that's more characteristic of a plakat.

Disregard my thought that she's a VT. I'm pretty sure she's a plakat. Of course, I could be wrong. I can't ID females to save my life.

I actually had a dream about female Betta's last night LOL well one.. Cambodian vt to be exact. I dreamt i got her at walmart (which is weird because my walmart doesn't carry Betta's) and I was so excited to bring her home... While i was getting ready to put her in her tank i dropped her in the sink and she got sucked down the drain! Now I feel the NEED to get one!

What a cute lil girl, GMD! :) I agree with the assessment of Plakat, but yes, females are really hard to identify! CT's are the easiest females to ID to me. ;)
Aw, CJAY, that's so cute! I'm so obcessed with bettas, sometimes I dream about them too! ;)
