Question UK Bettas?

Is it true? Because if so then part of the world is awesome...

I read that UK Bettas in pet shops get 10+ gallon tanks, and same at homes. That needs to happen in the U.S. with all those millions of tortured Bettas

well i've never once seen them in cups here. In two stores in Belfast they are in large community tanks, and in the third they are in divided tanks similar to mine, i.e. a barracks set up.

never ever seen them in cups on shelves here no.

OMG! Why can't U.S. Pet shop owners be less greedy and care a little more about the fish like U.K. owners (except a few rare cases)? I really think we need to rethink moral rights here... Except, I hear the gold fish conflict is still going on over there?

Wow for real!? They need to bring that law thing over here in Canada.

Although my two Pet'sMart's closer to me take pretty good care of their Betta's, I don't remember seeing a dirty cup.

But I still don't get why they have to be in cup's.

If I ever owned a pet store, I'd at least have them in tanks with several bays, like one of the members on here has. It seems like the best solution. I'd have it open on all sides for clear viewing.

@baylee - what goldfish conflict is that?? in any store i've been in here in Northern Ireland, goldfish are kept in regular community tanks just like everything else.

Oh no,I meant selling goldfish bowls. I've seen on the UK amazon goldfish bowls for sale. In some of them all the reviews say it's a good tank (something like 3 gallons) sometimes there were half and half, and sometimes there was only 1 or 2 good reviews. But I'm going from memory here, so... just I'm used to seeing online reviews all 1 star for goldfish things like that.

Then again, I've never been to the UK. Just judging by amazon TBH Lol.
