heating questions

would it be ok to heat the room i keep all my bettas in instead of heaters in each tank if i can get the water close to 80?

They will be just dandy. Our room the fish tanks are kept in is a crispy 80. Both our 14 and 5 get to 78-79 during daytime and drop to 76-77 at night which is just fine. While I have heaters in both setups, they rarely if ever came on even when plugged.....have since unplugged both.

Id stil recommend a heater, though. Youre going to crank the heat to 80, which is uncomfortable and expensive- but wont by a heater that keeps the temp steady?
Id just go get one, especially since fluxuations arent good and your room, even at 80, might not be quite as warm as scoot's.

Yeah what pewpew said. Keeping a heater on all day will become a bigger issue than buying a heater.
