No, I really meant to say 210 gallon. Yes he would have tank mates. But I heard if aggressive males are in really large tanks then they will be less agrgressive. Do you guys think I should not do that? I told him if Caligula does not seem to get along with others then to give him back.
And he said he has kept Bettas in there before. It also has all live plants in it. :)

Okay well you know best. I think if it is heavily planted/decorated it would be fine. 210 gallons is huge so I am sure he would have no trouble finding his own space.

Well everyone, just wanted to let you all know that Caligula has found a new home. I made sure his new owner is Betta knowledgeable. She has two males in a divided 10 gallon with live plants and a female in her own 3 gallon. Caligula will be living in a filtered/heated 5 gallon with silk plants and regular water changes and feedings. :)

I hope he's happy too! What a coincidence to find this thread! I am the one who adopted Caligula - who has been renamed Brutus. (Check out my Avatar!) He is quite a shy one, he doesn't seem to like a lot of movement around the tank. He has a new home in my husband's office where there's not quite as much commotion. We're glad to add him to our brood!

Thanks! I've been very pleased with this site. I have made the switch to bettas from a former life of saltwater reef tanks - and everyone here has made it very easy!
