Question Salt to kill parasites?

I understand Bettaslave's method of removing parasites, feeding garlic juice soaked peas and such. But I can't remember who, maybe 1f2f? Says that he puts the fish in super salty water, like 5 tsp per gallon or something like that, for half an hour. Does anyone have any exact instructions or know if it works? And especially if it works on internal parasites? (Most of the fish around here have internal parasites )

Which parasite are you dealing with? For ich, you cannot use salt dip. You need to dose the salt itself in the tank.

Saltwater dips for freshwater fish are as about as effective as freshwater dips for saltwater fish. In other words, it may prolong the life of the fish until you can set up a quarantine tank, but they are very stressful for the fish, and stress is what makes fish vulnerable to illness. So, I don't know.
