Fake leafs?

has anyone tried to put fake leafs into their tanks? you know like the fake silk plants except leafs to cause a "leafs floating on water" effect? and do the betta's like it?

Also does it matter if it's leafs from a petstore? or can it be those craft leafs as well cause they seem the same to me .-.

Fake leaves tend to sink. I've tried it. It doesn't work.

Oh, I thought you meant you were just going to float them. Yeah, they're fine to use. Just don't use anything with metal.

Ah yeah ok thats all I wanted to know because it seemed to me that the silk plants at a craft store is basicly the same thing as a petstore...

I'm sure the material/fabric is no different.

Thats what I was thinking as well...since most things that are alike are made pretty similar anyway.

My hood has a pair of two plastic rings that seemingly had no use, so I stuck a single fake leaf through it so it "floats" on the water.

My betta loves it! He built his first bubble nest under it the other day :D!

I used fake silk leaves from Wal-Mart and siliconed them onto suction cups which I stuck to the side of the tank near the surface. My biggest boy, Cheep-Cheep, uses his all the time, rests on it to get air. I haven't seen the other two use theirs, but I think it's because Cheep-Cheep's is at the front and the other two are at the back. I'm going to try moving them around, and see if the other two will use theirs.

WASH WASH WASH them... at the crafts store they're sprayed with antifungals that are nasty.
