Question Painting Q's

Hello everybody! I've been reading threads but not posting so much.

We're painting the bathroom where Draco lives. I have evacuated him and taken this opportunity to do a 100% water change. My question is, when will it be safe for him to come back after we've finished painting? I don't want paint fumes to kill him or wet paint to somehow get into his tank.

Thanks!

I have never done that yet, BUT I would think once the fumes are gone it would be safe.

OTOH, I have read that the bathroom isn't really the best place for a fish due to the fumes from hair spray, perfume, etc.

IDK about the paint, but it's really not a good idea to have a fish in the bathroom. The temperature would change dramatically whenever someone has a shower, and things like perfume and hair spray in the air would harm any fish, nevermind a bettas sensitive labryinth organ. The humidity would be high too during a shower. :/
