That's good! :) Glad he's still doing okay. Do a 25% water change, and if you reeeeally want to start a salt bath, you will prob need a quarantine jar, because otherwise you will need to clean your 5 gallon tank everyday! I do no know the correct dosage however, sorry! I'm sure you could ask around... :)

Right. I was thinking I would do the water change later, like before I go to bed. That seems good, right? ((I've never had a sick fish, so I'm clueless. >.<' ))

Oh he's beautiful! And looks really healthy! I was expecting worse hehe, but I wouldn't have ever guessed he had fin rot. You must have caught it very early on, I don't think he'll have any trouble recovering. ^^

Heh, thanks. It looks worse in real life, I think. Or maybe that is because I'm really worried about him. I have no idea. >.<' But yeah, he's a strong little boy. He'll live. Heh, I didn't get much sleep last night I was so worried about him. And when I finally did, I woke up 'cause of a weird bad dream 'bout him. O_O But yeah, thanks to all the great people here, I'm pretty sure he'll live.

if you have any Indian Almond Leaves, clean and dry oak leaves, or decaf green tea bags, you could add one to his tank and let it do it's thing. it helps with fin regrowth, and i used to use IAL whenever Cup would get a tear, or if Dante would bite his tail, and it'd grow back fast. :3

your boy actually looks like Cup used to. xD same fin length, too!

I just joined the forum and found this thread because my delta fin betta looks like he may have fin rot. I have him in just a 1 gallon tank and just cleaned the water and tank last night. His dorsal fin is really ragged looking and has holes in it... what should I do?

I should also add that this happened over night. He was fine last night and this morning his dorsal fin is pretty nasty :(

@mstngchic2012 I'm sorry about your betta! DX I have no idea.
@Luimeril Thanks! A tea bag? Huh. Is a regular one with the metal staple in it alright?

Alright, thanks. I'll use one without metal if I do that. ^_^ Just to be on the safe side, y'know?
