Talking It's ready :d

I made my trip out to the store to get my stuff to get my tank ready for Bettas again :)

AND IT'S READY!

The divider is a modified version of this: http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/d...ividers-21866/

Because I don't have a hood (We didn't see a need for one and I have other lighting options) I use plexiglass as a top (With an opening for feeding and for the filter and all, there is still a way for the oxygen to get in.

Well, with the way I divided it, it hooks to the lip of the tank, preventing any jumping from one side to the other. I just use two separate pieces of plexiglass for the lid and they won't be able to get to each other. Plus, it prevents the divider from bowing too much (It doesn't at all, to be honest, but I tested what it can withstand by hanging the filter from it while I was re-attaching my background and it didn't move at all).

:D I'm so excited! I have one more week and then I get my new guys! As of right now it's set up for the QT (Which is done by placing the two vases in the tank with the water in the tank heated to keep the water in the bowls warm (One's a fishbowl, the other is a literal vase, they both hold one gallon that I do daily changes on) for after I get them, but once they're done with QT I get to design my tank!

It's a little wet cause I was rinsing things, but :D

I CAN'T WAITTTT :D

Hurray! They're going to have so much fun in there. :) I love the background. The divider looks solid, no breaking through that thing! :D

I'm so excited :)

I blame all of you for getting me hooked on them :P

My mom has resigned herself to the fact that I'm going to have two and my dad thinks they're cool :)

I just noticed that the divider looks tilted in the first picture (And it may be) but I went back and checked and everything and as of right now it's straight.

Ahhh I can't wait :)

I'm going out with my friend on Saturday and we're driving around (She's nearly 18, I can't drive yet :P) and looking at stuff for this party we're planning, but my parents will probably pick me up.

If they do I'm definitely going to try to talk my dad into letting me get my Bettas on the way home since it's the same area :)

It was- it didn't take long either :) I fail at perspective on drawings when I'm not drawing off a photo, so she helped me with that.

Hoping whichever fishy gets the left side doesn't freak out over the fact that there is a Betta painted on the background :P It'll probably be the red DT I have my eye on that gets that side, but who knows.

Mister Fishy, forever immortalized XD

Aww, that's such a great idea! Now your passed on fishy can be in your tank with your new fishies <3 What a great memorial! I'm sure Mister Fishy would appreciate it :)
