Toxic fish food?

I swear the title isn't what it sounds like. Well, sorta.

I was feeding Hestia, my plakat female. She's a known jumper and I'm usually prepared to block her from leaving her tank completely. I had some food in my fingers and was just lowering it to sprinkle it into her water when she jumped and startled me. In doing so, I accidentally inhaled and swallowed her food.

It has freeze-dried brine shrimp in it, and they're flakes (since they won't eat pellets). Am I destined to die?

Unless you're alergic to fish, krill, shrimp, probably not. If it is toxic to you it would kill a fish pretty fast so I wouldn't worry.

On a side note what did it taste like? I've always wondered but never tried.

Edit: I was just reading the ingredients on my food containers and it is WAY healthier that a lot of what I eat...hmm...

Ahahaha that put such a vivid scene in my head of the OP going to the doctor explaining how they accidentally ate fish food! XD

@Malvolti - honestly... it tasted like bland food. The flakes didn't have much taste. It really tastes how it smells, if that makes sense. They do stick to your throat, though!

@bettafish15 - I've had to go to the health center on my campus quite a bit since I have torn ligaments in my foot, and I had the swine flu when I was a freshman. Because of that, I only go when I absolutely have to since I'm afraid they think I'm a hypochondriac. ^_^

Wow, that's hilarious, but I could so see that happening! XD Hehe, I hope my fishy doesn't startle me! :P

Campus clinics are a pain in the butt (or at least mine is :P), so I don't blame you for trying to avoid going there!

I ate a pellet once. It tasted like rancid fish oil.

I've tasted all my pellets.. Xtreme betta isn't bad at all LOL

I've realized that the better the pellet smells and tastes to us.. usually the better it is for the fish.
