Maybe she doesn't want to eat because she's feeling constipated? Since she's interested in veggies (and maybe she's picking at her gravel in search of algae?) and can't get food down even when she tries, it sounds to me like something might be up with her digestive system. Is she pooing at all?

Maybe you can try one of those mixes that are supposed to put vitamins in the water, so she'll be OK until her stomach empties and she's able to eat again?

I had a female that was the same way she would not eat anything for the first 2 weeks I had her but blood worms I kept trying to give her pellets and she would spit them out then I gave her some daphnia and fasted all my bettas for a day since then she has started to eat but I do have to make sure they are small pellets I use aqueon because they are very small

I would try feeding her frozen bloodworms if you haven't already. I haven't had a betta refuse to eat them yet, even my boy who is sick right now and won't eat anything else.
They should not be used a a permanent diet but at least they will get something in their belly.

Thanks guys! I will go get her some as soon as its payday!! Brine shrimp, can those be the ones that come in the bottle like the freeze dried bloodworms? Or do they sell frozen brine shrimp :S. I can also try getting her the aqueon pellets and see if they work too :) Thanks for all the advice guys! Hopefully she starts chowing down betta food soon :)

Freeze dried is junk food, regardless of what the bugs in it are!

Frozen comes in little blocks, and needs to remain cold.

Try getting daphnia if you can...they love it and itll make em crap their brains out XD

And urgh! DONT DO THE PEA THING.

Ive seen so many bettas DIE from that.

You can try a new brand, but try smaller ones..They have micro pellets, too, which might be better for your little one.

Rue721, bettas do not eat algae.

Idk if it works with females, but sometimes when a male sees his reflection and goes nuts, he poops. Try it with your female, maybe she'll poop for ya.
