You're not being talked down to- you're being informed.

I'm sure that there are many sites around the web that would be happy to talk down to you, to demonstrate what that's like. To be honest, Id bet if you went onto tropical fish keeping's site they wouldve chewed you out in a way.

Listen- dont take our advice, dont anything. Its no skin off our backs. Just bear in mind that if its posted, its fair game, and we're here to help everyone else.

Good luck with your tank, best of health to them, all the rest.

I was already given correct information and I know a lot of you are set in your ways, but my methods are doing just fine. I felt that you were talking down to me especially because of your sarcastic "Sorry for helping~!" It's a non-issue, honestly. If I want help, I will ask. I wasn't looking for anything but feedback on decorations. No fish is suffering because of me.

We don't "chew people out", we simply suggest things.

I cried all day when I bought a cory cat named Benny. I posted all about it on here, how excited I was about my new buddy. He was going to live in a filtered and heated 2.5 gallon tank with my betta Butterfly. I felt like I was slammed on all sides! ;/ Had to take him back to the store, made me oh so sad. Miss him all of the time! I love your tank, I think it looks good. If your proccess works for you and your fish are thriving and acting nice and healthy, I don't see a major problem! Of course bigger is better, but I understand that sometimes you just can't go bigger.

I brought my cories back too. I had two of them die on me and I couldn't figure out why because my tests were all fine, so I brought the two I had left back to my work. One of them died there, so I don't think it was anything that I did, they were probably sick before I had them. I bought some cherry shrimp after adding a ton of plants to the tank so they could hide from my betta, but it's really not the same because I never see them. What I was taught was one gallon per inch of fish, and since my betta sticks close to the surface and the cories are obviously bottom-feeders, it wasn't an issue of space for me at all. I'm sorry about Benny.

Me tooooo! He was the best lil guy, never missed a beat, he was so spunky... I'm sorry about your catfish! It was tough for me, because my new catfish was 1" long tops. I know they grow to be 2", but bettas don't follow the 1" per gallon rule as closely, and I figured because I had a filter and I do daily partials, it shouldn't be a problem. I wanted to keep him so badly! But gosh, alot of people were kind of harsh and said take him back, his life would be horrible, he'll die right away... ugh, it was sad.

I'm going to get cories again for a different tank in the future because they're so fun. I had a little one that liked to follow the bigger ones around.

As long as it's filtered and cycled I don't see a problem with it as long as the water is kept very clean. Which you seem to be doing a very good job doing!

Very very cute tank and fish!
