Emergency help!!!!!

I posted this yesterday http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=64820

I was asking about my male betta with a mild case of fin rot (tail looks slightly tattered). Ok, I get from home to work today and his doral fin FELL OFF. I mean is gone. Disconnected from very close to the body, to me, this is NOT fin rot. What the heck is going on! Currently he's in jungle fuingus eliminator. Still swimming and acting like himself. Still eating fine. But his fins are falling off! I have to nip whatever this is in the bud ASAP!!!!

HELP PLEASE!

He's in a 2.5 gallon completely by himself. I've even removed the decorations and plants while I'm treating...

This might be a bacterial infection type thing now. Im suggesting some sort of antibiotic (broad?), but cant recommend a perticular kind to you.. Sometimes fin rot will become more advanced.

Id say lower the tank temp a bit in the mean time, shove an airstone in if you have one, do a water change...

I dont think a fungus would cause this, btw. That medicine isnt really doing anything, I dont think.

Contact Oldfishlady right away, she's helped with this sort of thing before and can help with what to give. Other members may know, too, but try her first! She knows whats up. In your pm, please list all of the specs from your first post, tank size, temp, symptoms, etc.

Can we get a picture, too? That will help a ton. Putting the camera on macro (flower) setting will help quite a lot.

Good luck to you!
