Should we change the water?

My parents took a sample of Kaida's old tank water to get it tested and the results came back perfectly fine and that we could even put another fish in it.

Should we? Or should we sanitize it and then get it tested again before we get a new fish? The test came back that it was perfectly safe but I'm not sure because Kaida was sick and he could have left something behind when he died.

I don't want my next betta's to die because of us not changing the water or something. I want my next betta's to live longer then our previous one's. I don't think I could handle them dying in one night again.

Change the water. Those kinds of tests only test for parameters, NOT DISEASES.

Agreed. If they made test strips for diseases, fish keeping would be a lot better..lol.

Even if the water is 'totally fine', fresh water is always better

:)

Okay thank you very much. I'll rally the info on and get Kaida's old tank cleaned.
