Talking New fishies picture journal :)

I figured I'd start a little picture journal. I'm going to fill up my tank/QTs tonight so the water can sit overnight and adjust to a good temperature- I'll post pictures of it with water once I get it filled (Cleaning my room XD).

Then I'm getting my new fish tomorrow so I'll post pictures of them.

And then I'll just post new pictures every couple days :)

Why are there vases in the water, and it's only half full? It looks strange... There is no fish in the vases, so you can't be acclimating them.

QT- as suggested to me by a number of members (Lupin, etc.) since I'm bringing two guys home. Just in case one is sick, I don't want it to infect the other, seeing as the tank is divided and all.

I can't fill it up all the way because the one QT is a bowl and if I fill the tank up too far it floats/capsizes, which isn't exactly the point of the whole exercise. I'd pick up another vase, but I've only got about $110 ATM and I don't want to spend more than $40 tomorrow (I'm picking up more food and plants as well as my fish) because then I'll be running really low and I'm trying to save for a guitar.

I do my QT this way because I only have one heater, and by doing it this way, both fish will stay heated- the water surrounded the QT is heated by the heater, which keeps the water in the QTs warm (Something I learned from OFL).

I'm picking them up tomorrow. The only reason why it's set up tonight is the temperature can stabilize and everything before I bring them home, because I tend to have a little trouble getting the temperature just right when I get the water ready.

Haha I was like "O.o A senior member doesn't know about QT.... There's something wrong here." but I figured you probably just forgot XD

THEY'RE HEREEEEEE!

I got the red DT (He was still there, his color is a bit faded ATM cause of stress but he was BEAUTIFUL at the store, I can't wait till he feels less stressed out) and a royal blue and white butterfly delta (All the HMs were gone, but he's a pretty boy anyways).

Pictures to follow :) I'm acclimating them right now.

I know about QT. It just didn't compute until you said something. I think I was just confused by the vases. That's not how I QT mine (I use a separate 1 gallon), so it didn't click.
