When I went to the petstore the other day to look for a new fish, there were none on the shelf where the rosebowls of bettas usually are. I asked the staff when the next shipment of bettas was coming and she pointed to the tank beside her. The surface was covered with floating shipping triangles; she said they had veiltails and crowntails. Yay, new fish day! I picked through them and when I found the one, she put it in more water so I could check it over. (I can't believe how little water they are shipped in.)
Here is Ninja. He is far more active than my last (confirming to me Scout wasn't healthy) and is getting comfortable enough that he will come to the front more often when we are there.
(Pardon the watermarks on the tank on this one.)
He is fast when he decides to go.
(And I wish the front corner of the tank didn't cut him off here. There's a leaf on his fin too.)
