Hey guys. I have a three way divided 10 gal with two bettas in it that's had an empty space for a while. I was at Petco to pick up some supplies recently, and - as many of you may be familiar with :) - I saw a fish that I fell in love with. I've been calling him Sid.
An hour ago I floated his cup in the empty side of the tank. I didn't want to put him in freely yet, but I wanted him to be at the right temperature. Then under the bright light over my tank I noticed that there's a weird sort of film over his left eye that I didn't see before. I don't know if it's bloody or what, but it's definitely red. Here are pictures:
Compared to the left eye, his right eye is mostly normal. However, it looks like the same reddish film is around the edges of it. Here's a crappy picture of his right eye:
I have absolutely no idea what this could be. :\ Help?
