My Giant Plakat Brutus, and my Veil-Tail, pretty Poseidon!

Brutus was first, and although I owned a betta as a kid, I didn't know they were jumpers. I came to this forum after I found him near dead after a jump. You can see he's gotten bigger!

Initially - Baby Brutus:


Now (his fins aren't fully fanned, but best I can get of him is when there's food around!):







Needless to say he is alive and doing better than ever. I believe he is a dragon-scale? His anal fin and lower fins are red, with the rest of his body covered in silver plating. His back and top fins, after regrowing, are red with bluish-silver stripes on them. He is still getting back all his former vigor, but I'm so happy to have him and want to share him with you guys! He is my (huge, grumpy) baby

And this is Poseidon, who I fell in love with after seeing several platinum bettas (all white all over) and several green bettas (what I'm really dying for!) His body is white and iridescent green at times, his fins are green, teal, and then red. He is much more shy and timid than Brutus and I've only had him for a few weeks. His colors/finnage are coming out and I love him too!

Brutus is now in a 2.5 gallon, Poseidon has his old house. The bowl is just from a Fred Meyers (I think) pretty recently, that was supposed to hold...I don't know, decorative items? It had a tall fancy glass top too, like the taj mahal, that I keep on it. It's really cool, holds 1.75 gallons of water with the decorations, and was only like eight dollars! Maybe check where they keep their flower stuff/vases or their silly home decorating things.

I love your Giant Plakat. I just bought a flesh colored one myself, I had never seen one that color before, he's at least 3 inches.

Awesome, do you have pictures? I'd love to see him! Brutus' fins completely fell off after his jump, he may have been out of his tank for up to two hours, and he had a scar and lost some scales. His fins are growing back now and his color's better than before. He's quite spoiled since he scared the crap out of me..
