My baby boy has ich. I noticed he's been sluggish lately, and tonight I noticed flashing. I went to take a look, and sure enough, one of his pec fins looks like it has ich. So, he's in a 1 gallon QT right now. I had a bottle of aqua salt water mixed up at room temp, which I put in, but I forgot to acclimate him before popping him in there! ARRRRGG. I feel stupid. I hope I didn't shock him too badly. I have the heater set to 85* because I'm using the method OFL taught me to use for ich- increased heat and aqua salt. I hope it goes away quickly. I actually saw white dots floating around him after I put him in the QT tank. -.- So, wish me luck, please! He's my favorite, and I hope he is cured quickly.
OH dear, Sequin! This had better work, we are not losing Sequin! Nuh-uh! Good treatment, nice and natural. If worst comes to worse, maybe a commercial remedy... but that sounds brilliant for now, hope it clears up!
It's just a small amount so far. I hope I caught it quick enough. This method worked wonders for Blush, when I first got her. She came from PetCo, and developed a terrible case of Ich. She's great now. I think it's already working on Sequin. Most of the white spots on his fin are gone now.
Yep, he's my favorite, and always will be. I feel sorry for him. He seems frustrated with being in a 1 gallon for treatment. He's really making use of the multi-hole cave I have with him. At least he's not bored.
I'm convinced now that it was just a piece of fuzz, and not ich. It was too fluffy, and ich doesn't go away in one night. I'm acclimating him back to his normal tank now.
