plant identification ?

So, I got a new plant yesterday while I was at petco.I asked the lady who was working what type of plant it was and she didn't know.I only bought one because I didn't know if it was aquatic or not....what type of plant do you think it is? It is the tall grassy plant on the left in the picture.

Hmm, I don't know if it's vallisneria spiralis... the tips of the blades look more pointed than rounded like vallisneria.

I dunno, it might be. Google images is turning up all sorts of stuff for vallisneria. And they all look different. >:l

Do you have a closer picture of the plant?? When I first saw it I thought it was a fountain plant, which isn't fully aquatic but I've never seen one that size before :/

I have a feeling it's not aquatic...My fish is really in love with this plant though, I am going to feel bad if I have to take it out..
I don't believe it is a val, but I could be wrong. Petco had some vals in their tank, but they were smushy and brown.

Can see the pointy leaves in this photo.

root area

Can kinda see the leaves are thicker than val in this photo.

Thanks guys...excuse my messy tank at the moment.

That doesn't look aquatic to me... google Mondo Grass and see if it looks similar

Most likely it's mondo grass (which is not aquatic). A LOT of pet stores sell mondo grass as aquatic.
