I agree with young male VT. I was indecisive at first, but comparing that betta to my girl made me decide. I think that is a male VT. :) He's gorgeous though, very different looking! :) I'm sure those tears in his fins will clear right up in no time!

I've had females built nests before. But it looks a little bit like a young male to me.

INTERESTING! I guess I will just have to wait and see if either the fins get longer or the tummy gets full of eggs, I'm eager to find out now. Although I have to say I was looking forward to having a girl to name Anemone. (@bettafish15 I LOVE the way they pronounce it, I think it really sounds like a beautiful name to have)

AND FFFFNGGGHH I sure do wish I could have gotten that boy, I've never seen coloring like that before!

Ahaha this thread has turned in to a debate!

+1 for male (well, that's my opinion anyway, the body shape just looks boyish to me)

Regardless, they're beautiful! :D
