My little guy

Hey! I haven't officially introduced myself or my little guy. I'm Nate and I'm new to this site (not to the internetz). This is "X". He's my little boy.

So, that's all there is to it. I'll get pics up of my little girl whenever I move her to her tank.

He's cute, but you should fast him for a few days. He is WAY bloated. You should only be feeding him at most 6 pellets a day.

Is he really? I thought he was just big boned...like me. :(
Wait, I've only been feeding him 4 pellets a day. Except for like starting 2 days ago. He seems to like the flakes more.

Yes, he is. It can be fatal if not corrected. So, just don't feed him for a 2-3 days, and then start feeding him 3 pellets, twice a day. It should take care of the problem.

Yeah I guess we both need to cut back. It doesn't look like he's got any pineconing scales so I reckon he is just fat. xD Thanks for the advice.

Quick question though. How many bubbles should I realistically expect? Because this little guy has them basically all along the walls. I know that's how they mark their territory but he seriously has two nests built.

I don't know. All Bettas are different. He'll blow as many bubbles as he wants. Some of mine don't blow any nests. You can't really change it.

Sweeda's right, they'll build their nests as they darn well please! :P Some of them can be spurred to do it with water changes or some other stimuli but most of the time they'll just get around to it whenever they get around to it.
