Question about tempature

I bought a cheap $10 heater for my 10 gallon tank and according to my thermometer the temperature of the water is about 84 degrees. Is this too hot for my crown tail? I didn't have a thermometer last time and I may have accidentally cooked my last one =[

Bettas live in Asia. Our tropical climate here often exceeds even 84 degrees. IMO, the betta should be fine with it.

Yes i agree i live in the tropics, and our rooms temperature will often be 80-84F
my betta seems to be fine with it, but you just have to watch out for bacteria growth- they like the warm water. So add a little aquarium salt or Bettafix (maleluca) to discourage bacteria growth
