Today while I was in class listening to the prof. lectures.... my mind doze off and decided when I head home I will stop by the store and look for 2 VT Bettas that I like and start a hobby breeding them. Not yet tho im condition them first and read more about breeding and the right stuff and other various of ways to breed.

I got 2 red ones and nutrafin betta +plus thingy.



I have x3 10gal tank not used been left outside.



My neighbor back yard have this tree IDK what kind tree it is, but the leaf is kinda similar to IAL can i use it for breeding? Will it be the same effect? If i dried it out in the sun?

The Betta on the right is the most beautiful female iv'e ever seen. But i don't know about breeding. I have only had 4 bettas, only 2 r alive. I might start breeding next year. But right now i'm moving into gourami's and angelfish. (defiantly gonna breed the Gourami)

Those leaves do not look safe. Also, that tank set up is way too bare. Bettas need plants and hidey spots to feel happy and safe. Make sure you do at least a few months of research before breeding, since you should also have more experience.

thanks for the respond turtle. I have lots of java moss and plants ready. I stop by my local fish store and got IAL instead. I been doing alot of research this past month. :)

Okay I would give them the plants now, they are probably stressed in that bare of a set up.

I would wait a few months so that you can get to know bettas better. How long have you owned bettas?

Close to 2 years now.

Okay than you should be fine with more research and time to get all the stuff together.

Remember, because they are veiltails with mixed genes you won't find many people who want the babies.

yesi know, that's why I wanted to start out with the VT first so I can get some experience. Maybe one day I can buy a HM pair and breed them. :)

Yeah I actually really like veiltails, but I don't own any, except maybe one of my girls, but I can't tell.
