Forgot to add dechlorinator!

AGH! So I was cleaning my 2.5 gal tank today and did a 100% water change. My best friend called me during this process so I answered him and continued to do the cleaning. I changed out his water, put in new water, and let my Betta, Ricky, float in his cup to acclimate him to his new water. 10 minutes later I put him in the tank. I continued to talk to my friend for about 5 more minutes before the call ended. Once it did I realized I forgot to add the dechlorinator!!! The water I have here has alot of chlorine in it... I can taste it and smell it from the water right out of the tap. So needless to say, I flipped out and grabbed my bottle of dechlor. I couldnt find the spoon I always measure it in so i just dumped some into the cap, eyeballed it, and threw it in. Ricky seems to be acting normally... Still swimming around, he flares at my finger, and all but I am so freaked out. Ricky is my trophy fish and I would be so sad If I lose him because of this. I feel like such a horrible person!

Hope you're ok buddy

He should be perfectly alright, especially if it ws only for a few minutes. I once forgot to do it and didnt realize until a few DAYS later, and my fish lived for a long time. It takes a while for the chlorine in the water to really harm the fish. Moniter him just in case, but don't worry yourself over it :)

BEAUTIFUL fish, I might add, he is wonderful!
