Breeding nerites...maybe?

I have an olive nerite (BIG MAMA, this creature is large and in charge for her species! lol) and have been considering breeding her/it for a while. As much as I love her, she's an egg laying fiend and that sorta grosses me out, so Ive been mulling around the idea of using those eggies to my advantage! LOL


I got her from bobstropicalplants, btw. She came with Niggies (ds2009's snail now), who was a black olive nerite (lol).

Im not sure if I will, and will continue to research how to do it, but if I were to breed these guys, would anyone be interested? ;o No prices, etc, nothing in that regard yet, but I know this forum likes their snails and nerites are a great and gentile algae eater for a tank.

So, opinions? Would you be interested? ...would aquabid be interested? LOL

Nerites only breed in saltwater. I would try a different type of snail.

They breed in brackish best and saltwater does alright, and I know. I wouldnt keep it with my boys, mostly to avoid them being nommed (though theyre good food for salt water fish sans-shell) and to avoid an egg overload. I've been looking into it over the past month and have considered it might be a fun prospect in my no break from class stint from now til May.
Ive been stalking the seller of the snail's posts on breeding in various forums, too, waiting to get the conjones to ask him a question! ;D
