Erm, what does PH, kh, and gh all mean in layman's terms?

Im 19 but I failed chemistry, so hear me out here. Uh, i found these three tests in my liquid test kits that i werent using because people said they didnt matter. Out of curiosity, i tested those anyway. What i tested was ph, gh, and kh. My ph is 7.5, my gh is 4 if i tested correctly, and my kh is three. What on earth does all that mean? Oh and how to i know my tank light is bright enough for the aquarium plants that require lots of light? I have a hooded light with a looong 18 cyllender shaped 15 watt bulb that says it gives off 18000k of light.

pH measures how acidic or basic your water is. A pH of 7 is neutral. Higher than 7 is basic, lower than 7 is acidic. Your pH is fine, bettas can adapt to a wide variety of pH.

gH and KH are hardness tests. One is the general hardness and the other is something... can't remember right now. I'm not sure if you tested those correctly because usually readings are in the double digits if i'm not mistaken.

Are you sure your bulb says 18*000K of light? A normal bulb usually has anywhere from 5000-6500k.

Its from the aqua-glo brand and thats what it says. O_O Well the box anyway.

The tests said something like "fill the tube with 5ml of water and put however many drops of water it takes to turn the water yellow" or whatever. And it took that many drops so, yeahhhh.
