My Solution To Cleaning Day Blahness.

Why, music of course. I set my mp3 and rock out while cleaning all 8 bowls every three days. And I dance around like a fool which gets my guys 'n gals all riled up silly.

I know that cleaning can be a bore and at times overwhelming but change it up until you enjoy it. Switch up the order, try trading their bowl/tank location each clean (but watch afterwards to make sure they aren't uber stressed by it). The more positive energy you can put into your bowls and the cleaning process the happier you and your bettas will be for it. FYI, they really do like to dance with you. It will do you good to rock out for a bit and even if you want to sing along, they are rarely critical. (I've only had one swim into his cave while I was singing Madonna. Little snot. lol)

Caffeine helps...me at least.

So, to sum it up:::: Dance like bettas are watching, switch it up, and sing to the grumpiest fish the longest.

Lol it's fun to see everyone's different ideas. I personally love to keep my cleaning time as peaceful as possible. I typically do it when my daughter is napping or busy playing w toys/watching a movie... So it's a stress reducer of mine. The sound of water dripping, the colorful jewels swimming around, the idea that I'm making a huge difference in their lives... I love water changes! :D if only they'd take up more than an hr every other day!

I cannot use electronics near water changes. So far this year I have dropped both my iPod and my digital camera in my full water bucket. They both survived (amazingly) once they dried out. I usually have the TV on loud so I can listen to it.

I dropped a walkman in my pool once. You should have seen me on the ground, on my stomach trying to grab it before it sank. lol I was lucky I got hold of it. After it dried out it was fine.
