Well I knew this would happen .. . .
Eventually ^__^
Yesterday, while my youngest neice was visiting during spring break, we stopped over at Big Al's and I fell in love with all of the pretty VTs there. There were some achingly beautiful bettas there, HMs and some veiltails in a new shipment. It's the first time I've seen them in those little triangle baggies. They didn't look stressed or anything and there were some real beauties. ...

She got one - he's a turquoise CT, and he's her first betta. She's going to start her trip home this evening, and sadly, she doesn't have internet where she lives; so she's getting care tips from her crazy ol'betta auntie :D. I picked out a gorgeous little yellow boy .... :3

Thanks, I'll get better pics of Lemon as soon as possible. So . .. she ended up not taking the crownie boy with her. It's too long a trip home, almost 20 hours by train (she lives in the maritimes) ... but I guess he's mine now. Which isn't such a bad thing. We named him Mojito :)

Wow they are gorgeous! Oh my god i guess we always miss eachother, I was at big als on Saturday too! I actually saw quite alot of nice ones, so im going to go and get one for my 10gal tonight and possibly get another for a 5 gal ive been thinking about!

OHHH! You got the yellow guy!

I went there when they had just received the shipment and I was sooo close to getting him, but I had to leave Ottawa so I thought it was better that I didn't.

I'm so happy that you got him though, I just love him. :D

He's a sweet little thing. I don't have an official name yet, but I've been calling him Lemon. There was so much colour variety there .... I might go back tomorrow for the heck of it :D
