Bloated

I'm sorry if this is a total noob question, but Calliope is my first female betta, so I still have a lot to learn about them.

This morning I fed her two pellets, and when I came home this evening I noticed she looked very fat. I can't imagine two measly pellets did that. Is she just full of eggs? Or is she fat because she already laid eggs and ate them? It also seems a little hard for her to swim down to the bottom...she can do it, but it just doesn't look quite as effortless as it normally does. I fed her a pinch of daphnia instead of pellets for dinner. Should I fast her for a day or two until she goes back to normal size?

I'm still pretty new to this too, but I would fast her for a day. How long have you had Calliope?

I got her in January. She's looked a little chubby before but quite this big (not that she's huge or anything), and I usually assumed it was because of food; I didn't even think about eggs until now.
