white female

I have a white female hbat I am breeding, but I read I won't see any bars because she has a white body, am I right?

You're right! If this is your first attempt, I don't recomend you use her unless you're prepared to be patient and wait for behavior indicators that she's ready to be released and the time to actually sit and watch the pair after you release her.

Well she is full of eggs and can see her egg spot really good, so I released them and they swim around flaring and stuff but no biting.

Good luck with this! My first attempts at breeding were all with light colored females... it's pretty difficult!

Ok so if my male goes up to the female and then flare, then swim away is this normal. They just flare and then swim away?

with light colored females, you need to know exactly how to read betta body language. i suggest talking to some of the well-experienced breeders on here, and ask their advice. :3 i've never had a white female before. i bet she's beautiful!

Yeah I have a red cambodian and a blue cambodian. There both crowntails and one is full of eggs and ones only a lil bit.
