Then 1fish2fish suggested double mesh dividers..so I added another divider and now the fish can't see eachother..just in case I put Clampy (who has turned into a tailbiter but loves the current from the filter and Pantheon in..Pantheon is a ct who isn't a tailbiter..so far)
It really works! They can't see eachother so far..
*Please note that the divider that is hidden behind the strip of electrical tape is proper-it is the diy kind with the plastic binder spines and aquarium sealant which I made from the thread here, the visible divider is just stuck in as it is to solve the visibility issue-don't just stick a divider like that to keep fish apart!:)*

proof that those betta bulb things actually do sprout sometimes eventually if you wait a long time and keep taking the mold off it!

and some bonus photos of Phantom my cellophane who is marbeling like crazy and is near impossible to photograph (because he's clear the camera won't focus on him). He is having a hard time swimming due to his massive finnage/short body and possible chronic SBD. He spends all his time in the betta log and I think it is actually making it harder for him to swim due to atrophy or something. At the same time the betta log stabilizes him..

I'm buying another ten gallon kit from walmart as soon as I sell my 20 gallon long, it's a better deal to get everything and I will divide it and cycle it and switch out the bulbs with fluorescents for plant growth. I am dosing excel and excel flourish right now. My current 10 gallon isn't cycled but is holding well with once a week water changes because of the plants. I am becoming obsessed with plants but they are expensive so if anyone has any they want to send as a random act of kindness or possible trade for art let me know :D
