First Betta + 1 :)

well today i got a little impatient and couldn't wait for the weekend to come so i went to petsmart to go look at the future tank i was planning to buy and i decided to go take a look at the bettas they had while i was there. I was really disappointed b/c there were some nice ones there, but they all had fin rot and they only had CT and VT no HT.

Sooooo i asked my mom to take me to our local fish store, and OMG it was literally love at first site! lol i spotted an amazing (i want to say) Marble FT!
here's the pic :
and another

then we decided to go visit my dad's work place b/c he has been bragging about this "dragonscale" that he bought for $13?? lol i saw him and i think he's a Marble VT but i'm not totally sure
here's the pics :

anyways i ended up talking him out to let me take that one home too, so my mission was accomplished. I set out for 1 betta and came home with 2 lol
anyways that was my wonderful day.

okay, i knew my eye's weren't playing tricks on me, also i wanted to ask b/c i was getting a little worried. The 2nd betta in the pictures has really big eyes, i was wondering if that was normal or if it was an early sign of popeye?

The eye, size wise being big isnt, no, not necessarily... but when it bulges out, then yes, its often a sign.

These are good examples of popeye.. Note how far it bulges out!

I believe its caused by a bacteria infection.
