Hmm...I've kept a mallard duck before.
I've also kept a lizard, one of those green anoles, though it wasn't that great of an idea because I took it from the wild (not the mallard duck! The lizard). BUT I was a kid then.

I don't know what kind our duck was. I think she was a wood duck. My dad found her on the way home from work one day. She somehow got separated from her mother and siblings.

I want one too!

just kidding...just kidding!

Google image search brought up a pretty little animal though. I love foxes.
Didn't think of slang "silver fox" lol

Apparently these domesticated foxes are very similar to dogs. Only problem is that they cost over $6,000. Maybe one day in the future they will be cheaper, or I will be rich. Or both...that would be great too.

Technically a squirrel. But it lived in my friends backyard, so it wasn't really mine. LOL.

It was a baby squirrel that was separated from its mother. It was still partially blind (hadn't fully opened its eyes yet). It walked right up to me, and climbed into my arms. Turns out he had fleas (LOL), so we couldn't keep him in the house. We kept him in a big dog carrier until he could see properly. We fed him crackers, a few nuts, and some fruits. He was spoiled! LOL. We named him Crackers, 'cause he LOVED his crackers! Once he could see, we let him free, but he stuck around for a few weeks. We left the dog carrier in the backyard with the door open, and he would go back in it to sleep at night. Eventually he moved on, and left us. He lives in one of the trees near our house. XD Sorry for the long story, I just really loved Crackers XD.

Other than that, my African Dwarf Frog is the most unusual pet I've had. XD

I once kept an injured baby bird who fell out of a tree during a storm, for 2 days or so, then we took it to the animal shelter. We made the mistake of feeding it bread, but the shelter took care of that.
