I've seen a couple different ones at my Wal-Mart. They have albinos and spotted cories. They also have emerald green catfish, which I don't think are actually considered cories, but are often considered cories.

Theyre one of the spotted varieties, but I can't tell which one...

Could be spotted or false julii. True julii are not common.

Wow, I just realized that made no sense whatsoever!

What I meant was, I don't think they're technically considered cories, but a lot of people refer to them as cories. Sorry for the digression, I just couldn't let myself slide on that one!

Emerald "cories" are not corydoras. They are in the same group (aspidoras, corydoras, etc...), but are not the same genus. Their scientific name is brochis splendens.

The only ones I've ever seen at Walmart are peppered cories (Corydoras paleatus): http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog...species_id=271
I've got some peppered Cories from Petsmart and they're the hardiest little fish I think I've ever found. I don't know if I'd buy them from Walmart though... I've never seen a tank at any of their locations where there weren't 2 dead fish for every live one. I think the prices are the same too.

A. I have no petsmart/petco less than an hour away B. i checked every one of their tanks including goldfish all three times i've been there and have found less than 10 total dead. some of those were guppies that appeared to be stuck to a filter but were hidden behind a thermometer stick on.

If that's your only available source, then give them a try. Peppered and Albinos are both really hardy(and fun to watch!) cories. As long as your tank is cycled and the tank mates don't pick on them too much, they should be pretty well off.
