How long to wait?

How long should I condition/wait before I attempt another spawn between the pastel male and red marble female? I know you can usually wait just one week if they didn't spawn... But these two did. The female still looks eggy, although much less so than before. I'm worried about the male repeating his chow down on the eggs..

Thanks for the help! I'll probably try another couple if I should give these two more time. :)

Since they spawned I would wait the full two weeks. I'm reconditioning Dan and Venus to spawn and I made sure to give her at least full two weeks to condition just because she dropped so many eggs I think she needed a couple weeks to fill back up.

Now on my other spawn.. Myrtle didn't drop many eggs and was still eggy so if I was going to spawn her gain soon I would have only waited a week.

Yes, it is a good idea to wait at least 2 weeks to recondition them. IME, once a male betta is a proven egg eater twice, he will almost always be an egg eater. Then again, maybe the eggs were infertile? You actually want the male to eat the infertile eggs. If you spawn them again, remove the male as soon as the eggs hatch to be on the safe side. Good luck!

Just my two cents...
Cover the tank next time you breed him... he might be suspicious of his surroundings.
