Conditioning

How do you condition your betta? Share please.

I feed daily at least 3 times a day. I feed Atison's Pro pellets and frozen foods and I feed a lot. I also have live white worms I used to feed to condition but I'm giving my culture a break because it almost crashed.

I also do daily or every other day water changes. I keep my breeders in 1 or 2 gallon tanks w/IAL to make changing the water easier.

I condition just as 1fish2fish does but I do change the water everyday.

You can say I never condition them. I always feed them either live (ML, daphnia, ant eggs, fruit fly, small earth worms .... what ever is available), frozen BW (most of the time), chopped shrimps, tubifex (when food source is scarce or when I'm too busy). I feed males until they begin to bloat. I feed females all they would eat.

WC 30 - 50% daily and 100% weekly in 1g tanks. Top off only in solitaries (females) and breeding tub (male).

I don't look for nests nor breeding bars. I only make sure that the male is active and healthy, show him the female, if they flirt then I release. If they don't I exercise my male then rest and reintroduce the next day (almost never). If the female is reluctant, I place her in a solitary for a few days then reintroduce.
