Wink What would you like to learn?

Hello, all. Some of you may have seen the post in chat about the info thread/ sequel to "Your new betta day one!" asking for what your cures for diseases are to helps us get a reference on the types of diseases people appear to be most knowledgeable about. Thanks for all who have helped us so far, and if you want, keep helping!

http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....501#post631501

But now Bettasforever and I are curious to know...

What stuff would you like to learn/ would like to know more about that would be helpful to have at a quick -glance reference guide?

Stuff like:

Simplified explanation of how to cycle (since i know this is hard c;)
How to baffle tricky filters/bio wheels/ without the bottle method
What plants work well in certain situations/at certain care levels (what kinds are low maintenance...woohoo! ;) )
Clever DIY/unusual tank decor
Dividers/diy divider tips and suggestions

All that :D I can only think of so much, so it'd be great if you could help us out with any questions that you have or have had trouble with and wish you had simple, quick reference to!

Mind, anything noted in previous stickies, like how to ship/basic breeding, etc. Has been well covered, save for the cycling sticky. Im hoping to provide a slightly more in depth article on that :D

So yeah- Any questions you have or had touble getting simple info regarding *care (not diseases!), we'd really love to hear.

I vote plants. lighting needs, ones that are good for smaller tanks, ones that will take over your tank given half the chance, stuff like that. I've been trying to make up my mind on a couple, and seem to spend a lot of time bouncing around sites trying to figure stuff out

I vote how to spot pre-existing fin-rot. Found out Kalona might have had it and I don't want to take any chances with my next pair.

Plants, sounds good! Will do. Ill try and gather info for very low maintenance- mild maintenance tanks ;D

And that might be in the disease one we've got going on, but we'll add that in. That's tricky regardless, ha!

I second the plants idea. I'd love to learn more about live plants, and have all the information in one easy-access location.

Hmm...What about some 'down time' basics? Like how to coax your betta into following your finger or resting in your hand. Something that'll help both owner and betta bond.

I typically do not recommend touching your betta, so Im going to hold off on that. But I can try to help with coaxing methods for things like cupping your fish :3

The finger thing is essentially only up to the fish, if theyre nice or not XD
