how often should i change it?

so, my schedual has always been, one water change a day. >.> it's mostly because i only have 1, 2, and 3 gallons tanks, so i'm doing at least one water change every day. i don't mind, though. :3

but, i decided to try out the filter in Caroline's 1.5 gallon, and she seems to enjoy it. she's alot more active than she was before i put it in(not that she was inactive, or anything! she's just swimming around alot more!). but, i don't know how often i should change the water in her tank now. .___. here's some info you might need to help me with this:

it's 1.5 gallons
has the Tetra Whisper 3i filter running
has a small ball of Java Moss in it(she tried to eat a strand when i first put the filter in! xDc so cute!)
has pretty green rocks instead of gravel(might try out natural looking river rock things, to go with the natural fake plants)
i don't have a gravel vac. >3>

Based on an experiment I conducted some time ago I found that water changes....

On unfiltered tanks 1gal-4gal of twice weekly....1-50% and 1-100% would maintain water quality.

On filtered tanks 1-4gal twice weekly 50%...1-50% water only and 1-50% to include substrate cleaning by vacuum or stir and dip method would maintain water quality

thank you so much, OFL! <3 it's about time for her partial water change, then. :3 i'm glad i put the filter in Caroline's tank! she loves it, and is way more active. if i had taller tanks for the others, i'd give THEM filters, too. o3o except, maybe, Cup. o.o i'd be too scared his fins would get sucked into it!

If you decide to put them in your other tanks, I have used a fluval intake sponge that fits perfectly around the intake so their pretty long fins don't get sucked up. They have them at petsmart for $2.99 or amazon has a 3 pack for about $6 I think. I have one on all of my betta tanks.

I have the fluval pre filters too, it helps with biological filtration a bit if you cycle
